Response to Mr. Spalding. The question that was asked at Silent No More was, Do I know what happened to building seven at WTC? My response was no. The follow up question was, Had I received or asked for information from the federal government concerning building 7?
My answer was no, then I explained that when I need to contact the federal government for information, I have to do it like any other citizen. On the Indiana Public Safety and Veterans Affairs committee that I sit on, we deal with issues to protect and keep the citizens of Indiana safe. On the American Legislative Exchange Council, I sit on the Public Safety and Elections committee. I co-chair the Homeland Security Subcommittee for ALEC. ALEC consists of legislators from all 50 states.
In this subcommittee we deal with homeland security issues that affect all the states either individually or as a whole. At the present we are working with border security. I work on these issues after the Indiana legislative session is over for the year. By sitting on this committee I am able to learn what other states are doing which enables me to bring back ideas to make our state better and safer for our citizens.
The ALEC association as a whole makes suggestions for model legislation that states may want to adopt along with suggestions of models of federal laws that need to be enacted. I would like to say thank you to the Kosciusko Silent No More Group for allowing me speak and take questions from their group.
