Ruby Mae Abraham, 71, of Warsaw, died March 29, 2008, in Oakbend Medical Center, Texas City, Texas, while visiting family.

She was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Winamac, to Charles and Martha Zimpleman McCrackin, who preceded her in death. On March 19, 1961, in South Bend, she married David M. Abraham, who died Jan. 18, 1980.

She retired from Zimmer Inc., Warsaw, after almost 20 years of service. Formerly of Silver Lake, the North Manchester area, South Bend and Rochester, she moved to Warsaw 20 years ago. She was an active crafter who enjoyed giving her hand-made items to friends and family. She spent a great deal of time caring for elderly relatives and friends. She was a South Bend Riley High School graduate.

Surviving are a son, Donald (and spouse Julie) Abraham, Berwyn, Ill.; two grandchildren, Lillian and Sophia Abraham, Berwyn, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Doreen McCrackin, Richmond, Texas; nieces and nephews: Terry (and spouse Belinda) McCrackin, Craig McCrackin and Jan McCrackin, Bill (and spouse Debbie) Elliott; Kelly McCrackin; Terri (and spouse Philipp) Krauss, Steve (and spouse Wilmel) Elliott; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; five great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; many other family and friends, especially dear was Fred (and spouse Kathrin) Stewart and their children, Elliott and Madeline, as Fred was like a second son; and her companion and pet dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by a brother, William McCrackin, and a great-nephew, Christopher McCrackin.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. J.P. Freeman of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, officiating. Burial will be in Fairvew Cemetery, Servia.
