Ruby J. Landrum-Besson, 65, of 4318 Country Club Road, Warsaw, died at 9:52 a.m. Aug. 16, 2010, in her residence.

She was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Jay and Mollie Hall Shepherd, who preceded her in death. She married Ollie J. Landrum, who preceded her in death.

She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. She retired from Warsaw Plating Works as a fork lift operator.

Surviving are a daughter, Teresa George, Warsaw; a son, Robert (and spouse Anna) Landrum, Warsaw; three brothers, George (and spouse Cathy) Shepherd, Claypool; Butch (and spouse Kathy) Shepherd, North Manchester; and Clark Shepherd, Packerton; six sisters: Katherine (and spouse Lester) Calhoun, Atwood; Mollie (and spouse Jeff) Elsinger, North Webster; Grace (and spouse Terry) Woodling, Florida; Lynn (and spouse Kevin) Hobbs, Palestine; Jean Woods (and spouse Don) Lepper, Pierceton; and Jennett (and spouse Perry) Kirkland, Texas; seven grandchildren: Ashlee, DeAnna, Tyler, Eric, Dennis, Brittany and Bradley; four great-grandchildren: Emma, Jacob, Kaylee and Donovan. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Roy "Dean" Landrum; two daughters, Charlene and Chrylynn Landrum; a granddaughter, Tiffanee Landrum, and a sister, Nancy Murphy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Vic Virgil officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.

Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
