SYRACUSE – Ruby F. Howard, 62, of Ligonier, and formerly of Warsaw, died at 8:20 a.m. Jan. 21, 2013, in Avalon Village Nursing Home, Ligonier.
She was born June 23, 1950, in Brooksville, Fla., to Frank and Audrey Emma Jean Perry Shell.
Moving to the Warsaw area from Kentucky about 20 years ago, she formerly attended Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, and formerly worked at Wildman Uniform & Linen, Warsaw, and Warsaw Chemical.
Surviving are a daughter, Tanya (and spouse Bruce) Reinhart, Syracuse; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annabelle (and spouse Cecil) Jarvis, Little Paint, Ky., and Jamie Sue Shell, Springfield, Tenn.; and four brothers: Ballard (and spouse Dana) Shell, Warsaw; Charles (and spouse  Pearl) Shell, Allen, Ky.; Bill Shell, Salyersville, Ky.; and Frank (and spouse Minerva) Shell Jr., Royalton, Ky. She was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Glen Hughes officiating.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
