Rosemary Martha O’Malley, 83,  passed from this life Sept. 11, 2012.

She was born April 8, 1929, in Defiance, Ohio, to Cecil and Helen Melton.

She was in the entertainment field for 30 years as a singer in Fort Wayne and Fort Lauderdale. She was a receptionist and hostess at Kosciusko Community Hospital for 18 years, retiring in 2008. She was also the property manager for a hotel in Fort Lauderdale for 12 years. She was a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society.

Surviving are a son, Dennis (and spouse Gwen) Hixson, Overland Park, Kan.; two grandsons, Eric Hixson, Overland Park, and Kevin (and spouse Melinda) Hixson, Centennial, Colo.; two great-granddaughters, Sadie and Julia, Centennial; and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Charlotte Melton; and their six children. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dianne Kennedy and Pam Coppett; three brothers,  Tom, Tim and John; three sisters, Eileen, Ceil and Madeline; and her parents.

A mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Fernando Jimenez officiating.
Calling is be from 9:15 a.m. until the time of mass.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
