She was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Elkhart County, to Doris and Ruby Godshalk Hummel. On Dec. 3, 1949, she married Charles W. Lantz, who survives in Syracuse. They were married 66 years.
She was a 1947 graduate of Syracuse High School. She enjoyed playing golf at Max Welton Golf Club, Syracuse, as well as Par-Mor, New Paris.
Also surviving are two sons, Greg Lantz, Kimmell, and Timothy Lantz, Syracuse; a granddaughter; two step-granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Robert Lantz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Hummel; and a sister, June Lantz.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor John Randolph officiating. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
