LEESBURG – Rosella M. “Rosie” Hardy, 90, Leesburg, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 8, 2015, at I.U. Goshen Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Warsaw, to Edward E. and Mamie F. Roberts Black. On Sept. 22, 1942, in North Webster, she married William E. “Bill” Hardy, who preceded her in death June 23, 2006.
She was raised in North Webster and graduated in 1942 from North Webster High School. She retired in 1987 from Excel Industries in Elkhart as a corporate accountant after 25 years of service. She lived in Elkhart until she moved to Leesburg in 1987 and wintered in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., for 30 years.
She was a member of the North Webster Church of God and served as treasurer for the Gulf Cove Trailer Park in Fort Myers, Fla.
Survivors are: three sons, Dennis R. (and spouse Kate) Hardy, Fredericksburg, Va.; Douglas J. (and spouse Janet) Hardy, North Webster; and David E. (and spouse Cathy) Katz-Hardy, West Lafayette; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Bevington, Leesburg. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Ralph Roberts and Ben, Orlie and Doug Black; two sisters, Margaret Black and Shirley Butler; and three infant brothers.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of North Webster Church of God officiating. Burial is in North Webster Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
