She was born Dec. 3, 1942, in North Manchester, to Walter and Tressie Yoder Blocher. On Dec. 3, 1961, she married Richard E. Miller, who died Oct. 4, 2011. On April 1, 2009, she married Phil Ray Parsons, who survives in Frankfort.
She was a nursing assistant at Timbercrest Nursing Home, North Manchester, and various other places. She also was a cook at Milner’s in Rossville, and retired in 2003. She moved to Sedalia in 1976 from North Manchester. She was a member of Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She assisted with the Friends of Bill W., participated in TOPS and attended schools in Silver Lake. She enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are a stepmother, Marie Blocher; one son, Marvin Miller, Elizabethtown; three daughters: Sharon Stowers, Sedalia; Carlene (and spouse Brian) Lewis, Culter; Kay (and spouse Ray) Stevens, Rossville; four stepchildren; four sisters: Dorothy Blocher, South Whitley; Donna (and spouse Phil) Metzger, Claypool; Joy (and spouse David) Wolf, Pyrmont; Eileen (and spouse Bill) Cahill, Colfax; three brothers: Arthur (and spouse Anita) Blocher, Florida; Danny (and spouse Michelle) Blocker, North Manchester; Walter Jr. (and spouse Tana) Blocher, Pierceton; six grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Church, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville.
