Ronald G. Shepler, 76, of Warsaw, passed away at 7:06 a.m. Aug. 8, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Warsaw, to Ralph and Helen L. Grindle Shepler. On May 25, 1968, in Freemont, he married Patricia “Pat” A. Hatfield, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, he attended Warsaw High School and owned Shepler Septic Tank Cleaning for more than 35 years, retiring in 2010.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 49. He loved driving his Mack truck and his 1935 Chevy Coupe. He liked to fish, play cards with his friends and have coffee at the Cozy Cottage. He especially loved to watch his grandson race his sprint car at Miami County Speedway, Peru; He attended New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw.
Also surviving are two sons, Ty Shepler, Warsaw, and Bart Shepler, Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters,  Brenda (and spouse Guy) Ford, Plant City, Fla., and Becky Shepler, Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan and Krista Shepler and Joseph Chambers; four great-grandchildren: Kameran, Kharisma, Shawn and Shealeigh; a sister, Marilyn Faner, Delray Beach, Fla.; and a stepsister, Teri Herman, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold R. Shepler, who died June 16, 1988.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. John B. Lowe II of New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
