NAPPANEE - Ronald A. Hershberger, 66, of 69425 M 62 Lot 107, Edwardsburg, Mich., and formerly of Nappanee, died at 12:20 a.m. Nov. 17, 2008, in the emergency room at Lakeland Hospital, Niles, Mich.

He was born March 2, 1942, in Nappanee, to Victor and Freida Robinson Hershberger. He married Peggy Hall, who died June 4, 2004. On March 2, 2006, he married Bonnie Carriveau, who survives.

He moved to Edwardsburg in 2006. He was in the restaurant management business and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Also surviving are two sons, Brian (and spouse Dwana) Hershberger, Syracuse, and Tony (and spouse Trish) Hershberger, Mentone; two stepsons, Leslie (and spouse Nancy) Carriveau, Osceola, and David (and spouse Sherri) Carriveau, Jackson, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Teresa (and spouse Todd) Hoffman, Edwardsburg; eight grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Jim (and spouse Nancy) Hershberger, Grand Junction, Ariz.; Michael Hershberger, Mesa, Ariz.; and Richard Hershberger, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by a grandson, a step-granddaughter, a great-granddaughter and a sister.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Mitch Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery with military graveside services by members of Nappanee American Legion.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
