Rollin Lloyd Jump, 55, of Warsaw, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 2:02 p.m. March 28, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Sept. 5, 1953, in Mendota, Ill., to Marvin and Nadine Stein Jump. On June 1, 1974, in Fort Wayne, he married Lois M. Paxson, who survives.

Moving to Warsaw from Auburn 38 years ago, he worked at Dalton Foundries for 29 years, retiring in December 2007. He was instrumental in planting Christ's Covenant Church, Winona Lake, as well as Christ's Church in Michiana, Osceola. He was actively involved in pastoral care for more than 30 years.

He graduated from DeKalb High School, Auburn, in 1971, and Grace College, Winona Lake, in 1975. He had a passion for a wide genre of music; enjoyed basketball, camping, bicycling and hiking; had great love and compassion for the needs of all people; constantly studied and applied the scriptures to his life with all his heart, soul, strength and mind; deeply loved his family; and especially enjoyed his grandson, Logan.

Also surviving are a son, Jonathan Jump, Warsaw; a daughter, Jennifer Buell, Warsaw; a grandson, Logan, at home; his mother, Nadine Jump, Warsaw; three sisters: Lois Polson, Killeen, Texas; Kay Sheggeby, Redmond, Ore.; and Ina (and spouse Roger) St. John, Calera, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake, officiated by Pastors Larry McCall, Steve Henry and Rod Valentine, all of Christ's Covenant Church. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
