Roland L. "Rolly" Hunter, 73, Beaver Dam Lake, died at 9:10 a.m. Nov. 4, 2010, in his home.

He was born Aug. 20, 1937, in Cedar Springs, Mich., to Leslie and Leona Purdy Hunter. On Sept. 8, 1956, in Cedar Springs, he married Margaret S. Black, who survives in Claypool.

He was a 1955 graduate of Cedar Springs Michigan High School. He retired from Ford Meter Box Company, Wabash, after 39 years. He served four years in the Michigan National Guard. He was a member of the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church and the Wabash American Legion Post 15. He enjoyed fishing.

Also surviving are four children: Cheryl (and spouse Phillip) Prater, Teresa (and spouse Chris) Martin, Cindy (and spouse Jerry) French, and Greg (and spouse Missy) Hunter; 10 grandchildren: Joshua and Jennifer French, Carrie (and spouse Drew) Stith, Damon and Dalton Neal, Phillip and David Prater, Adam Hall, all of Wabash; Alyssa Wheeler, Franklin; and Mary Martin, Olney, Md.; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordon (and spouse Joyce) Hunter, Ovid, Mich. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Jerry and Jack Hunter.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with Pastor Butch Troke officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
