SYRACUSE - Roger S. Martin, 90, Syracuse, died at 6:08 a.m. March 21, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.

He was born Jan. 10, 1918, in Oak Park, Ill., to Frank B. and Salome Singleton Martin. On Feb. 14, 1940, he married Lucille McCain, who survives.

He lived in the Syracuse area since 1943, coming from Downers Grove, Ill. He was a retired supervisor for NIPSCO.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth Martin, Syracuse; a grandson; and a sister, Rachel Pope, Washington. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two grandchildren, a sister and a brother.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Syracuse Cemetery.

No calling is planned.
