He was born Sept. 25, 1940, to Raymond and Velma Gebert Leedy. On March 16, 1974, in Akron, he married Carol Reed, who survives in Pierceton.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He served in the U.S. Navy during Cuban Missile Crisisand was part of the blockade. He retired from Navistar International Truck and Engine Corporation. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253, North Webster. He also was a member of the UAW.
Also surviving are a son, Scott Leedy, Pierceton; two sisters, Brenda (and spouse Ian) Ross, North Webster, and Patricia Stidham, California. He was preceded in death by a brother.
A graveside service will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
No calling is planned.
