He was born June 20, 1950, in Warsaw, to Leslie B. “Frank” and Sondra Bridegroom Sellers. On Sept. 20, 1969, in Warsaw, he married Victoria “Vicki” Finkenbiner, who survives in Silver Lake.
He graduated in 1968 from Warsaw Community High School. He was a lifetime Silver Lake resident. He was a body repairman and painter for Kerlin Motors for 20 years, mail carrier for the Silver Lake area for 20 years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the North American Hunt Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and an avid outdoor sportsman – especially hunting and fishing. He and Vicki enjoyed traveling and fishing vacations. Roger was Vicki’s hunting and fishing buddy. This proud and actively involved grandpa was always at Isaac and Dakotah’s sporting events; he was grandson Dakotah’s, best friend; loving and supportive father; Chad’s hunting partner, best friend and mentor; loyal and protective brother.
Also surviving are one daughter, Michelle “Shelly” DeLaCruz (and boyfriend Kurt) Kaufman, Warsaw; a son, Chad (and spouse Rita) Sellers, Rochester; two grandsons, Isaac Sellers, Rochester, and Dakotah Shepherd, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Brooklynn Sellers, Rochester; three brothers: Robert “Bob” (and spouse Peg) Sellers, Fort Wayne; Ronald “Ron” Sellers, Silver Lake; Rex (and spouse Kim) Sellers, North Manchester; and a sister, Marilyn Luecke, Silver Lake.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jack Smith, Hamilton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
