WARMINSTER, Pa. – Rodger Lee Berry, 68, of Warminster, Pa. and formerly of Warsaw, died June 1, 2013, in Abington Hospice, Warminster, after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Paris, Ill., to Leo and Marian Lang Berry. On Nov. 21, 1968, at Fort Belvior, he married Mary K. Laincz, who survives.
He was a truck driver for various companies before retiring in 2009. He served in the U.S. Army for 14 years, serving in Korea, Vietnam and the United States. A resident of the Warrington and the Warminster area since 2008, he formerly lived in Warsaw for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America and the AMVETS.
Also surviving are his children: Tracy Lynn (and spouse Paul) Tobalt, Kimberly Ann (and spouse Jim) Lame and Rodger Lee (and spouse April) Berry II; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary (and spouse Nancee) Berry, Ohio, and Walter (and spouse Joann) Berry and Glenn (and spouse Sherry) Berry, all of Indiana; sisters, Leona (and spouse Kevin) Good, Indiana, and Deanna (and spouse Steve) Dillon, Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Decker Funeral Home, Warminster, Pa.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
