ELKHART – Roberta M. Arbuckle, 83, Elkhart, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Oct. 1, 2015, at Elkhart Hospice House with her family at her side. She was born April 7, 1932, in Fulton County, Ohio, to Merle and Katherine Taylor Glaser. On Nov. 27, 1976, at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart, she married Robert C. Arbuckle, who survives in Elkhart. They were married for 39 years. She was a 1951 graduate of Waldron, Mich., High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bristol, the Red Hat Society and had been active and was a past-president of the Elkhart Women’s Democratic Party. She was an accomplished Tole Painter, enjoyed antiques, making ladies’ hats, dining out and traveling. She retired from Whitehall laboratories after 31 years of service. Her grand and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was always helping others with her kindness, love and support. She will be greatly missed by all. Also surviving are: two sons, Terry (and spouse Jo Ellen) Frend, Granger, and David (and spouse Gennifer) Frend, Wolcottville; four grandchildren; a step-daughter, Jan (and spouse Earl) Barger, Leesburg; a step-son, Greg (and spouse Teresa) Arbuckle, Indianapolis; 11 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (and spouse Lillian) Glaser, Ellington, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert E. Frend, in 1964; step-mother, Evelyn Glaser; brothers, Weldon “Butch” Glaser and Wendel Glaser; a sister, Rita Roth; and her aunt and uncle, Iva Mae and Vernal Carpenter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 20943 CR 6, Bristol, with Sister Nora Frost officiating. Burial is in Zion Cemetery. Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the service.

Lehman Receives 8-Year Sentence For Conspiracy To Commit Murder
