Robert W. 'Scotty' Scott

ROCHESTER – Robert W. “Scotty” Scott, 78, of 340 E. 18th St., Rochester, died at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 22, 2012, in Hickory Creek at Rochester. He was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Pulaski County, to Clyde and Clarice Howe Scott, who preceded him in death. On June 25, 1961, in Camden, he married Jean George, who survives in Rochester. He retired from Tippecanoe Valley High School where he worked in maintenance and had worked at Dice Oil Company in Fulton and also Enyart’s True Value, Rochester. He was a U.S. Army veteran and been a volunteer fireman in Liberty Township as well as a member of the Fulton Lions Club. In his spare time, he stayed active walking around town and tending to his yard. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Indiana University basketball fan. Also surviving are his children, Kevin (and spouse Konnie) Scott, Rochester; Lisa (and spouse Mike) Barry, Clarkston, Mich.; Christopher Scott, Coatesville; grandchildren, Skyler and Lillian Scott, both of Rochester, Noah and Taylor Scott, both of Coatsesville; Tyler, Madison, and Annalee Barry, all of Clarkston, Mich.; one sister, Betty Cramer, Winamac; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Graveside services with military rites will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Camden Cemetery, with David Main officiating. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. ***** Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
