Robert S. “Bob” Cord, 81, Winona Lake, passed away at 3:30 p.m. May 28, 2015, in Grace Village, Winona Lake. He was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Shelbyville, to Elmer H. and Lora D. Stephens. On Oct. 31, 1954, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shelbyville, he married Judy Worland, who survives in Winona Lake. He was a 1951 graduate of Shelbyville High School and attended Tri-State College. He was a Korean War veteran, serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He obtained the rank of staff sergeant. He was past exalted ruler of BPO Elks #457. He retired from Zimmer Inc. as a national accounts manager in 1988. Also surviving are a daughter, Bambi (and spouse James) Maze, Warsaw; a son, Jeff (and spouse Diane) Cord, Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren: Zack (and spouse Tricia) Maze, Long Grove, Ill.; Brooke (and spouse Travis) Moore, Huntington; Jeff Cord Jr., Shreveport; Rebecca Cord, Youngsville, La.; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken (and spouse Pam) Cord, Okahumpka, Fla., and Greg Cord, Guyton, Ga.; a sister, Sherry (and spouse Dennis) Lyons, Hanover; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Wanda Carter officiating.
