Robert Lawrence Hopkins, 73, of 1441 Fisher Ave., Warsaw, died at 4:20 a.m. Aug. 16, 2011, in his residence.

He was born March 14, 1938, in Silver Lake, to William B. Sr. and Vicie England Hopkins. On Nov. 12, 1999, he married  Carolyn Hoffman, who survives.

He retired in 1997 after working for R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Warsaw, for 33 years. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he attended Warsaw Family Worship Center and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He also was a member of Vision Baptist Church, Bonita Springs, Fla.

Also surviving are three sons: Greg (and spouse Lynne) Hopkins, Rockford, Ill.; Brian (and spouse Sylvia) Hopkins, Hoffman Lake, Warsaw; and Jeffery (and spouse Tammy) Hopkins, Austin, Texas; a stepson,  David (and spouse Brenda) Adams, Hartville, Mo.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty (and spouse Hobart) Ratliff and Linda (and spouse Stephen) Bennett, all of Warsaw, and Mary (and spouse Gene) Blanton, Claypool. He was preceded in death by one stepson, three grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Warsaw Family Worship Center officiated by Pastor William Whitaker.
Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
