SYRACUSE - Robert L. "Bob" Anderson, 67, of Warsaw, died at 10:40 a.m. June 10, 2008, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Barnesville, N.C., to Jesse C. and Edna Humber Anderson. On April 8, 2003, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., he married Pamela A. Hughes Higdon, who survives.

He graduated from Bremen High School and has lived between North Carolina and Kosciusko County most of his life. He was a retired self-employed auto mechanic and attended Church of the Nazarene, Warsaw. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Huntington.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Anderson, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Ashley Higdon, Warsaw; two sisters, Tibie (and spouse Worth Jr.) Packer, North Webster, and Peggy (and spouse Pat) Meck, Pierceton; and a brother, Mark Anderson, Pierceton. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Donald Marlowe officiating. A private burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
