NORTH MANCHESTER – Robert H. Leckrone, 90, of Silver Lake, died at 10 a.m. Feb. 19, 2013, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born April 14, 1922, in Kosciusko County, to Herman W. and Cora Keister Leckrone. On Jan. 25, 1941, he married M. Leona Winger in her parent’s residence by her uncle the Rev. Otho Winger. She died Dec. 13, 2012.
He graduated from Sidney High School in 1940. He served on the Ulrey Memorial Cemetery Board for 23 years.
He was a retired farmer; a former driver for John Yoder Lime Hauling; and worked at Miller & Sons Lumber Co., Silver Lake, and Strauss Elevator, Silver Lake.
He and Leona spent their entire lives in Kosciusko County and spent 13 winters in Sebring, Fla. They were third-generation farmers on the same family farm for 60 years.
He was a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are a son, Tom (and spouse Janis) Leckrone, North Manchester; two daughters, Nancy (and spouse Richard) Bellows, Carmel, and Susan Clark, Silver Lake; seven grandchildren: Bobbi Bates  (and Eric Karwisch), Indianapolis; Danna (and spouse Daryl) Cripe, Noblesville; Lori (and spouse Brett) Myers, Akron; Dusty (and spouse Staci) Bellows, Fishers; Rob (and spouse Karen) Clark, Silver Lake; and Susi (and spouse Michael) Stephan and Beth (and spouse Kyle) Howard, all of North Manchester; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother; a sister; his parents; a son-in-law, Ray Clark; and a grandson, Thomas Alan Clark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, 2507 E. Ind. 14, Silver Lake, with Pastor Andrew Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
