Robert G. Coble, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 11:35 p.m. March 21, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Jan. 8, 1932, in North Manchester, to Alfred Darwin and Sarah Ann Reed Coble. He was united in marriage to Lora Mae, who preceded him in death; and then in February 2006 he married Judy Alexander, who also preceded him in death. On Aug. 5, 2006, in Warsaw, he married Genelle Lourine Allen, who preceded him in death Dec. 6, 2013.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Warsaw. He was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Senior Activity Center, American Legion Post #49 and the Moose Lodge, all of Warsaw. He enjoyed helping with cleaning the church.
He is survived by three stepsons: Jesse and Robert Hurley, both of Warsaw; and James Hurley, northern California; his stepdaughter, Lorna Sue Beverly, Bountiful, Utah; his brother, Jerry Coble, Norco, Calif.; and a grandchild, Alex Hurley, Warsaw. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ethel Marie Coble; and his brother, Everett E. Coble.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor David Cripe officiating and military honors by the American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, North Manchester, at a later date.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
