He was born April 23, 1929, in Anderson, to Claude and Margie Berry Moorman. On June 15, 1948, in Anderson, he married Charlotte Plummer, who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1947 and was a tool & die maker for Delco Remy for 32-1/2 years, retiring in 1982. He lived most of his life in the Anderson/Chesterfield area and in North Webster from 1985 to 2009.
Surviving are four children: Robert C. (and spouse Janet) Moorman and Jody (and spouse Randy) Closser, all of Anderson; Randy S. (and spouse Deborah) Moorman, North Webster; and Paula (and spouse Tony) Hillis, Rock Island, Tenn.; a sister, Betty M. Barr, Middletown; a special friend, Caralee McKay; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson, officiated by Gary Meeker of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
