NORTH MANCHESTER – Robert E. Partridge, 91, of North Manchester, died at 9:50 p.m. Dec. 29, 2011, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
He was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Wabash County, to Dewey and Dollie Werking Partridge. On Nov. 7, 1941, he married W. Louise Cauffman, who survives.
He graduated from Chester High School in 1938. He was an industrial engineer, having been with Dresser Corp., Galion, Ohio, for 14 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1941-46. He was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, and American Legion Post 243, Galion.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Michael (and spouse Carolyn) Partridge, Ridgeville, Wash.; a daughter, Judith Ann Townley, Redding, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
