KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Robert D. Moschel Jr., 58, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Bourbon, died June 13, 2009, after a lengthy battle with heart disease.

He was born June 28, 1950, in Peoria, Ill., to Robert D. Sr. and Lavell J. Wilson Moschel. He married Deborah S. Dowell, who preceded him in death in 1970. He then married Lana F. Smaltz, who survives.

He spent his youth in Indiana near the Warsaw area and moved to Florida in 1991. His first work was in grocery retail and as a meat cutter. Later he was employed for 22 years by R.R. Donnelly & Sons as a bindery machine operator. He became interested in the income tax business in 1988 after attending tax seminars through the Worth Tax and Financial Services Co. of Warsaw. In 1991, he and his wife established Taxes International Inc. after moving to Kissimmee.

Surviving are a daughter, Michelle C. (and spouse Frank) Moschel Kennedy; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Sheila M. (and spouse Mark) Peterson; two stepsons, Tom Hiss Jr. and Michael Hiss; his mother, Lavell J. Moschel, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Ron Moschel; four sisters: Becky Eckard, Rita Moschel, Robin Voutas, and Rachel Patrick. He was preceded in death by his father.
