SYRACUSE - Riley Ousley, 64, of North Webster, died at 4:41 p.m. April 11, 2008, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Langley, Ky., to Malcolm and Alice Conley Ousley. On Sept. 14, 1978, he married Becky Slusser Welker, who died in 1997.

A lifetime area resident, he retired from Whitley Products after 24 years, then became a supervisor at Colbin Tool, Syracuse. He attended Pierceton High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from April 23, 1961, to April 23, 1965. He was a member of American Legion Post 253, North Webster. He loved fishing, gardening and NASCAR and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He had a great sense of humor. His main interests were his sons, their wives and special granddaughter Sydney. He enjoyed watching his son Scott participate in sports at Wawasee High School and Indiana State University.

Surviving are three sons, Scott (and spouse Laura) Ousley, Columbus; Dave (and spouse Kari) Welker, Noblesville; and Joe (and spouse Kelle) Welker, Plymouth; four brothers: Lloyd Ousley, North Manchester; Holley Ousley, Pierceton; Ray (and spouse Sandra) Ousley, Sellers Lake; and Tom (and spouse Orinne) Ousley, Sidney; a sister, Fran (and spouse Jim) Fear, Oreana, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Tom Welker, and a sister, Lois Trump.

No services are planned.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse.
