Francis D. Jr. and Evelyn Rickel will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary May 29. Francis D. Rickel Jr. and Evelyn Miller were married May 29, 1982, by the Rev. Don Poyser at Burket United Methodist Church.

He retired from Kimble Glass after 29 years and now works for Jack Keirn Excavating. She works in the quality department at DePuy.

The couple have four children, Mrs. Josh (Brandy) Meerzo, Mrs. Paul (Brandi) Reahard, Brooke Fisher and Benjamin Rickel. They have four grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house for family and friends Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]

What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
