Rick Fox Guest Speaker for YMCA Fundraiser

WINONA LAKE – Rick Fox will be a guest speaker at the Orthopedic Capital Center in Winona Lake on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.

Fox will help the Kosciusko YMCA “Tip Off” its annual community support campaign.

The YMCA has provided more than $130,000 in financial assistance in 2011, according to Chad Zaucha, YMCA CEO.

Fox is an actor and retired professional basketball player who last played for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers in 2004.

Fox also played high school basketball in Warsaw from 1984 to 1986.

In fall 2010, he was a celebrity contestant on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars,” paired with pro Cheryl Burke.

The Feb. 3 event in Winona Lake will be an evening of appetizers, coffee bar, desserts and silent auction items to go along with a presentation by Fox.

As a non-profit organization, the YMCA is seeking financial support to continue its mission.

The YMCA needs financial support for its mission for programs for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
