Richard W. Plotner, 76, of 804 Southside Drive, Warsaw, died at 8:37 a.m. Feb. 15, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Warsaw, to Wesley C. and Edna M. Neer Plotner. On June 30, 1962, in Warsaw, he married Judith Elnora Myers, who survives.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, he was a machinist at DePuy Inc., Warsaw, retiring in 2000. He was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sonja (and spouse Dan) Decker, Warsaw, and Teresa (and spouse Les) Ternet, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Gregory A. and Erica A. Tidwell, both of Warsaw, and Acasha M. and William W.S. Ternet, both of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Marjorie (and spouse Earl) Love and Barbara Hedington, all of Warsaw; and a brother, Loren (and spouse Ann E.) Plotner, Warsaw.

Services will be at noon Thursday at First Christian Church, Warsaw, with Ronnie Sams officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
