He was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Auburn, to Worden M. and Ruth E. Price Brandon. On Aug. 28, 1948, in Hamilton, he married Bonnie L. Haughey, who survives.
He graduated from Auburn High School in 1946, and attended International Business College, Fort Wayne. He retired in 1992 from Furst Macness Feed Co., Freeport, Ill., after eight years and formerly worked for Moreman Manufacturing Co., Quincy, Ill., for 22 years.
He lived in Syracuse 33 years before moving to Goshen in 2008. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 223, both in Syracuse.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dianna (and spouse Steve) Russell, Elkhart, and Sandra (and spouse Steve) Bates, Elkhart; a son, Gary (and spouse Karen) Brandon, Columbia City; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Quinlan (and spouse Wilmer) Bultemeier, Bonita Springs, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Syracuse, with Pastor Mark Eastway and the Rev. Mike Neff officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
