He was born Aug. 19, 1955, in Warsaw, to Richard D. and Paula Sue Whitesell.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1973. He was employed by Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Plan in maintenance, retiring in 2007. He was formerly employed by Shunk Well Drilling and Drudge Screw Products, both of Warsaw. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are two daughters, Nicole (and spouse David) Warner, Newport, Vt., and Tara Ann Whitesell, Dunedin, Fla.; his mother, Paula Sue Whitesell, Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Allison and Ajay Warner, Newport, Vt. He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Toni Carmer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
