MILFORD - Richard L. Fifer, 37, of Rochester, and formerly of Leesburg, died at 11 a.m. May 17, 2008, in his residence.

He was born Nov. 23, 1970, in Elkhart, to Ken and Cheryl Harman Fifer, who survive in Leesburg.

A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver for 17 years, most recently working at Gulf Stream Coach, Nappanee. He was a 1989 Wawasee High School graduate. He lived his life to the fullest and was very devoted to his family and friends.

Also surviving are four sisters: Penny (and spouse Ronnie) Adams, Claypool; Kelly (and spouse Ted) Hart, Rochester; Cathy (and spouse Randy) Hoover, Syracuse; and Cindy Wharton, Milford; maternal grandmother, Lois Harman, Leesburg; paternal grandmother, Jean Davis, North Webster; six nephews; three nieces; and three great-nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers and a step-grandfather.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Doug West officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.

Calling is form 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
