He was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Huntington County, to Rollie and Coral Bright Bieghler. On Aug. 1, 1952, in San Diego, Calif., he married Annabelle Lee, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-54. After basic training, he served on the USS Mackenzie. He worked for Roger’s Radio & TV, Huntington, from 1954-71. The owner, Ted Rogers, moved the business to Syracuse where Richard worked for Roger’s Electromatics until retirement in 1996.
Also surviving are a daughter, Cynthia (and spouse Bob) Baugher, Cromwell; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Bieghler, Huntington. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
