Sarah R. Rhodes and Matthew S. Hauk were married May 19, 2007, at Nappanee Missionary Church with the Rev. Joseph Focht officiating. The bride is the daughter of Robert Rhodes, South Bend, and Susan Rhodes, Elkhart; the groom's parents are Al and Joy Hauk, Winona Lake.

Matron of honor was Alysia Lutz, Nappanee. Bridesmaids were Laura Lawndy, Waldorf, Md.; Amy Oakes, Goshen; Jessica Hauk, Winona Lake; and Amanda Bellows, Elkhart. Flower girls were Julia Lawndy and Catrina Foster, both of Waldorf.

Best man was Nick Hauck, Winona Lake. Groomsmen were Hamy Lawndy, Waldorf; Kevin Oakes, Goshen; Tyler Hursberger, Elkhart; and Dan Ropte, Noblesville. Ushers were Tory Lutz, Nappanee, and Anthony Rhodes, South Bend.

A reception was held at Nappanee Missionary Church, where the couple greeted 150 guests in the grand hall.

The bride is employed as an athletic trainer at Bethel College. She is a 1997 graduate of Nappanee High School and received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Indiana State and a master's degree in psychology from Illinois State.

The groom is employed as a physical therapist at KCH Regional Rehab Center, Warsaw. He is a 1998 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a bachelor's degree from Grace College in 2003. He received his doctorate in physical therapy from Washington University at Saint Louis in 2006.

After a wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii, the couple reside in Nappanee.[[In-content Ad]]

Tiger Basketball Opens Season With Win Over Columbia City
On a night where the Warsaw football team was honored before the game, another Tiger team with high expectations going into the season made its 2024 debut. The Warsaw boys basketball team tipped the season off at the Tiger Den against Columbia City, and after battling for the better part of the game, the home side pulled away in the final minutes to win the opener 62-53.
