Robert Rhodes, South Bend, and Susan Rhodes, Elkhart, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah, Nappanee, to Matthew S. Hauck, son of Al and Joy Hauck, Winona Lake.

The bride-to-be is a certified athletic trainer at Bethel College, Mishawaka. She graduated from NorthWood High School in 1997, received her bachelor's degree from Indiana State University in 2001 and her master's degree from Illinois State in 2003.

The groom-elect is a physical therapist with KCH Regional Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1998, received his bachelor's degree from Grace College in 2003, and his doctor of physical therapy from Washington University, St. Louis, in 2006.

A May 19 wedding is planned.
