In the information age, common sense can get lost in the shuffle. Just for fun, let's retrieve some.

Eighteen years ago our nation began establishing military security bases in the Middle East. Since we don't do that for fun, Hillary can't claim she didn't know what we were planning then.

Those bases were established long before 9/11. Leadership always goes first. That's why it's called that.

Some suggest correctly this war is about oil. That's why we're not transforming Africa. There wouldn't be much global demand for drought-stricken desert wasteland or poverty stricken nomadic tribes.

Obama says he wants to reform Washington. "Mr. Green Jeans" isn't going to row against that tide. Besides that boat has no oars. Corporate fascism is today's trump card.

Mr. Betances believes Mr. Bush made a mistake and midstream suggests the President correct it. G.W. wasn't our president 18 years ago, so if it is a mistake, why is it his?

America needs to get in the boat. Doing the backstroke suggests one believes the advance of civilization is going to happen due to some alignment of natural occurring phenomenon.

Common sense suggests what history has revealed. If you've got a good hand, it doesn't pay to fold it.
