Jerry Aker, a senior, has been elected president of the Warsaw high school student council. Jerry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Aker, of E. Center St., is one of the school's best athletes and recently was named president of the senior class.

Tom Loveday, retired Warsaw tailor, will tomorrow celebrate his 83rd birthday anniversary. This morning he met three old friends, Ira Makemson, Nathaniel Hoover and John Lehman in front of the Lake City Bank. To prove his youth and strength he threatened to whip all three of them or "set up the coffee." Tommy is a native Englishman and was enjoying a big black cigar when he called at the Times office this morning, stepping around quite lively.
