    Jefferson Elementary's three top sellers in the PTO-sponsored M&M Fall Fundraiser were recognized for their efforts. No. 1 seller was Jason Breeding, no. 2 seller was Eric Hoffhein and no. 3 seller was Michael Barker. Of the total $1,500 raised by Jefferson students, Jason sold $375 worth of M&Ms. Eric sold $326, and Michael sold $284. Chris Gensinger is principal and PTO president is Karen Wildman.

    Jerry L. Helvey has recently been elected to the board of directors of Lake City Bank, according to an announcement today by Bruce Wright, president of the bank. Helvey, his wife Della, and their two daughters Lynn, 18, and Jane, 15, have lived at Sechrist Lake since 1962.

Helvey is a 1955 graduate of DePauw University, where he majored in economics.

    Mrs. Herbert Smith, of this city, will be president of the Indiana Button Society for the coming year. Smith was elected at the state convention of the society held Sunday at the Lincoln Hotel at Indianapolis.

A feature of the convention was the exhibit of buttons displayed.

    Kid Johnson, of Goshen, and Harry Bullers, of Warsaw, met the open challenge of two fair show wrestlers here last night. The former stayed 10 minutes with the big show wrestler, and his match was declared a draw. The show wrestler weighs 188. Bullers stayed 6 minutes with Indian, whose weight is 171. One dollar per minute is paid the amateur wrestlers for each minute the professionals fail to throw them.
