    Rod Wildman (24) and Mike Kinney (85) earned top grid honors of the week for their performance in Friday nights 25-0 setback to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger. Wildman was cited for his play as defensive back and Kinney as top offensive lineman.

    Harmonious strains of real barbershop singing, from the open doorway of the Arcade Friday afternoon. Hearing it, you could almost expect to look through the door, see rows of shaving mugs and handlebar mustaches. Was good singing too!

    Smoking in public cost Mary Helm, 35 years old, a fine of $500 and a sentence of six months in jail in Kansas City today. She was arrested while smoking a cigarette in a park there.
