    Recently, Doug Kehler, a UTS employee, ran into Chris Schenkel of ABC Sports. The two reminisced about the fact that Kehler's mother, Lucille, taught Schenkel in grade school in Bippus. Kehler and Schenkel both attended the Stonehenge golf tourney.

    Don Lee Hurd, a senior at Tippecanoe Valley High School, is to be featured in the eighth annual edition of "Who's Who Among American HIgh School Students." He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hurd, Rt. 5, Warsaw.

After graduation he plans to continue his education at Purdue University.

    Mr. and Mrs. Gene Messmore of Pierceton are traveling through the Smokey Mountains while on their wedding trip. Following their return they will reside at Ridinger Lake.

Mrs. Messmore is the former Jeanne Werstler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Werstler, and Mr. and Mrs. George Messmore are the parents of Mr. Messmore. All are residents of Pierceton.

    Delicious, crisp, brown-fried bull moose steaks were served today at the Kiwanis Club luncheon. The meat was furnished by Merl Gochenour, big game hunter just home from a three month's hunting trip in Canada.
