    The following individuals have earned higher belt ranking at the recent testing for the Dharma Tae Kwon Do Academy.

Nickolas Beck and Roscoe Brown went to yellow; David Bennet moved up to green; Ben Christner, Tommy Teel, Kevin Teel and Buddy Hyden advanced to purple; Danny Warner now has a junior blue; Robert Farari and Karen Langford moved up to junior red; Kyle Smith advanced to a senior red; Brian Klinger went to a senior brown; Aaron Wilson earned a deputy black; James Linn (age 9) and Albert Deckys (age 44) earned first degree black belts.

    Marion Grove and his brother Larry, both of Warsaw, ventured to Berrien Springs, Mich., and in three hours of fishing caught 10 chinook salmon totaling 141 pounds. Their largest catch was 23 pounds, and five weighed 19 pounds or better. Marion is 29 and lives at 410 E. Fort Wayne, while Larry is 34 and resides at 10 Sycamore St.

    A grade of 98 percent was made by the post office at Burket when inspected last week by a federal officer. Mrs. Eva Eherenman is the postmistress. She is assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Herschel Shumacker.

    Mrs. M.E. Werstler, correspondent for The Times at Happy Corners, two and one-half miles northeast of Pierceton, brought to this office Thursday two potatoes weighing two pounds each. Thus it would not take many to make a bushel.
