Youngsters gathered at the First National Bank as a balloon drop was conducted from the roof of the building. Each balloon contained a certificate for a silver dollar. The activity was one of the several planned leading up to the big open house celebration at the bank.

George J. Mensik, former big-time gangster with Al Capone's mob, will be the principal speaker at a Marshall county Youth for Christ meeting at the Bourbon High School gym.

A gentle little jet black saddle pony owned by Ben A. Hildenbrand, of west of Warsaw, was sold by him recently to the Black Horse Troop of the Culver Military Academy. Major Rossow was attracted to the pony last summer when his troop rode past the Hildenbrand farm. He gave Hildenbrand another older black pony and $150 in exchange for the pony which struck his fancy.
