Jan Knoop, a second-grade teacher at Leesburg Elementary School, and Jane Starner, an English teacher at Warsaw Community High School, were featured presenters at the recent Ninth Annual Fall Conference of the Indiana Teachers of Writing.

Tony Boley was named back of the week and Steve DeGaetano lineman of the week for their performances in Warsaw's 26-10 win over Columbia City on Friday night. Boley rushed for 230 yards, the second time this season he has eclipsed the 200 yard mark. He had 209 vs. Fort Wayne Snider. DeGaetano had 16 solo tackles and 10 assists.

Richard (Dick) Armington, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Armington, West Winona Avenue, is a student at the American Television institute in Chicago, Ill., studying electronics. He is now staying in Chicago.

Fifteen cars, double deck, loaded with 4,800 spring lambs from the mountain ranges of Montana arrived at Syracuse where they will be fattened and sold in the winter. Jess Grady, prominent farmer, accompanied the sheep which he bought. Charles Thompson and C. Green will also take part of the large shipment.
