Word has it one of Warsaw's finest, Capt. Steve Foster, was left without a word recently at a local fast food restaurant. It seems the captain had a problem with an ice cold drink in his lap. As we hear it, the captain was left speechless for the first time in years as the other restaurant patrons couldn't contain their laughter. To make matters worse, the rest of Foster's uniforms were at the dry cleaners so he had to return to work in plain clothes.

Little Marilyn Anne Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Taylor, of near this city, was guest of honor at a family dinner given Sunday in celebration of her first birthday anniversary. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Merl Tinkey, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gearhart and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolf, her great-grandparents, and her grandparents, Mrs. Cleo Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Noah Tinkey. Others who called in the afternoon were; Mrs. Metta Maish and son, Vernon Maish, of Louisiana; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Taylor, Jr. and family and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Orcutt and son.

Warsaw teachers left on Thursday morning for Indianapolis where they are attending a three-day session of the Indiana State Teachers' Association. Those who left Thursday were Marian Herrick, Mary Simons, Leola Gemlick, Gladys Gemlich, Elizabeth Hess, Retta Hess, Penelope Shoup, Blanch Sutherlin, Elizabeth Banning, James E. Leffel and Allen Ohmart.
