    Fred Decker, 101 Rt. 5, Warsaw, made it to the polls once again, just as he has during every voting opportunity in his eligible years.

He is the grandfather of Jean Northenor, former Kosciusko County Republican chairman.

    Warsaw Community High School sub-varsity debaters tied for second place as a four-man team at the Columbia City Joint High School debate tournament recently.

The debaters of Keith Pagel, Scott Eddington, Charles Bunnell and Steve Smith tied on the basis of win-loss record winning five rounds and losing three.

    Warsaw's Rifle and Pistol Club entertained Goshen in the first meet of the St. Joe Valley League season Wednesday night. Goshen marksmen won, compiling a score of 1,416 to Warsaw's 1,379.

Warsaw scores were Tom Walter, 274; Rupert Hill, 278; Dale Shanbeck, 272; C.A. Betz, 272; and Harry Gawthrop, 283. Scoring for Goshen were H. Detwiler, 281; A. Huff, 285; W. Mayse, 283; Dr. Wellington, 284; and H. Rock, 283.

    Jonathan H. Wagner, better known about North Manchester as Howard Wagner, has recently been appointed as head of the Seattle bureau of education for Alaska, taking that place in September. Wagner spent his boyhood days in North Manchester, going to school at Manchester College, and teaching in the city schools.
