Local Farm Bureau members will want to scrutinize their November-December issue of the American Farmer magazine. The Farm Bureau publication recognized Cindy Rapp of Milford and some of the 1,000 items she preserves each year through canning and freezing.

Mrs. Lester Taylor, of East Market Street, entertained at a pink and blue shower given in honor of Mrs. Robert Martin, of this city, on Friday evening. Bingo was played and each winner presented the prize to the honored guest. Mrs. Clarence Taylor Jr. was the winner of the first prize for the highest score made during the evening and Mrs. Charles Martin the prize for the second high score.

Friends and neighbors to the number of 29 gathered at the home of R.C. Shipley and husked and cribbed his corn. At the noon hour a bounteous dinner was served by Mrs. Shipley, assisted by a number of ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Shipley greatly appreciated this little act of helpfulness, it was only a little reminder of the Golden Rule. Mr. Shipley lies ill in a Rochester hospital recovering from appendicitis.
