    Classic Car Centre of Warsaw had a celebrity customer recently as popular country singer Hank Williams Jr. bought a '66 Chevy C-10 pickup that has only 23,000 miles on it. Final purchase arrangements were made when Williams phoned the dealer from a jet as he was flying across the country.

    Warsaw Patrolman Doug Brumfield arrested a Warsaw man this week for public intoxication and had this to say about the man's behavior just before the arrest: "The subject was having a very important conversation with one city-owned parking meter." We wonder what the meter had to say.

    Emory Davis, Warsaw High School pupil, won the right to represent Warsaw High School in the district vocational corn-husking meet at South Whitley. Davis competed against five other members of his class and husked a net total of 243 pounds in the 20-minute time limit.

    Anyone who wishes to join a comedy band to take part in the Warsaw municipal Holloween celebration should notify C.A. Kelly. There will be several snappy clown bands in the big masked parade, according to present plans.
