Missions Outreach Inc. has announced that Kris Doron, 15, has been accepted to serve on a work/witness team in Costa Rica this coming summer. MOI's director, Kim Bauer, says Doron will be on a team of about 20 young people plus four adult leaders. She is the daughter of Dale and Nancy Doron at Rt. 8, Box 131, in Warsaw. She is an alumnus of MIO missions, having participated on the 1988 Zambia team

McDonald's Restaurant will open in Warsaw at 315 N. Detroit St. on May 6 at 7 a.m. It will be the 72nd McDonald's location in Indiana. To celebrate the grand opening, McDonald's famous clown, Ronald McDonald, will perform May 11 at 1:30 p.m. The Warsaw McDonald's will provide parking for 63 cars and seating for more than 100 persons.

Roadside parks in the Warsaw district will be ready for picnickers this weekend, according to Forrest Higgins, local state highway superintendent. The flowing well at the hill-top park on road 13, famous throughout Indiana for its rustic beauty and cool, clear water, has been reconstructed. Tables were placed in all parks.

Many record catches of mushrooms were reported yesterday. Helen Hankins and Louise Goshert, both age 15, brought home 124 big ones. Frank Swihart reported bagging 70.
