Ever since Alva Ketering can remember, a dogwood tree with pale green blossoms has been growing in a woods on his farm. Today the tree is nearly 20 feet tall, phenomenal for the usually squat, rambling tree.

A stray pig poked his nose in the doorway of The Times building last evening, then wandered down the street and disappeared in the darkness near the State Bank, unheeding pedestrians. Some farmer will find his head short one member this morning. Mr. Hog wended his way through moving autos and dodged street cars with city celerity.
